Acharya team release statement on the plagiarism issue Koratala Shiva was in controversy when he recently hit his film story with plagiarism issues. Koratala Shiva is currently directing Acharya, starring mega star Chiranjeevi in the lead role. The shooting of the film was stopped due to the epidemic situation. If it weren’t for the coronavirus, the movie shooting should be over by now.
The motion poster of the film was released on August 22 on the occasion of Chiranjeevi’s birthday. Makers performed Dharmasthali in the background. Since the release of the motion poster, some writers have claimed that the story of the movie was copied from them.
However, Matinee Entertainments has issued a press release in this regard. They made it clear that the story of Acharya’s film was completely conceptualized by Koratala Shiva. It’s completely ridiculous to make accusations by looking at a motion poster, the production house said.
It was revealed that the team is looking forward to finishing the film quickly and presenting it in front of an audience.
The makers also mentioned that it is an original story and it is unacceptable to defame a reputed filmmaker like Koratala Siva. The team also urged the media to not publish such rumoured stories as it is completely baseless and false.
Acharya is directed by Koratala Siva and produced by Ram Charan and Anvesh Reddy under the Konidela Production Company and Matinee Entertainment banners respectively. It is also believed Acharya is a political action thriller in which Chiranjeevi will be seen starting a movement against the endowments department regarding the misappropriation of temple funds.
The shooting schedule of Acharya was progressing at a brisk pace and filmmakers were able to complete almost 40% of the movie shooting. Kajal Aggarwal will be seen as the leading lady and Ram Charan will appear in an extended cameo in the film.
